Constitutionally all children have equal rights. Girls as well as boys. Yet girl children continue to be aborted at birth. Or killed soon after. Today, India has only 927 girls for every 1000 boys. Under ”normal” circumstances there should be 1050 girls for every 1000 boys.

More than 100 Participants running with CRY at the Vodafone Delhi Half Marathon on the 28th October 2007 asserted their belief that the girl child has a right to equal opportunities, and given the opportunities, she is a winner. Over 500 non-participants have already signed the Girl Child Rights Charter to express their support for the cause of the Girl Child. You can contribute your voice too. Just click here to sign the Charter.
