This year (2010-11) over 250 applications were received against a call for proposals in September 2010, and 20 were short-listed for final round of selection. The following persons have been selected for the award of an individual research fellowship and we are happy to announce their names and topics of their research.

Dipsikha Majumdar is working at the Centre for Youth Development and Activities and will be conducting her research study on ‘Realization of Children’s Right to Participate: A study to assess the role of children in decision making of NGO strategies and programs’.

Navprit Kaur, a research associate at the Institute for Development and Communication- Chandigarh will do her research on ‘Growing up Dalit: Caste and the construction of childhoods in Punjab’.

Sonal Makhija, a legal consultant and researcher will be exploring through her study, the ‘Cultural Perception of Corporal Punishment: Within home’.
