Leaving Legacy
CRY's first legacy was the extraordinary dream bestowed to us, by our founder Rippan Kapur who passed away at the age of 40. A dream - that no Indian child would be deprived of rights as basic as survival, protection, development and participation. He also left us with the means to turn this dream into a reality... openness to learning from all situations, frugality in operations, an emphasis on supporting innovative grassroots initiatives and the belief that people do care and will take action to change the situation of India's children.
With our first legacy as our foundation, we initiate our legacy giving programme, a simple way for you to ensure today that you will continue to make a permanent difference to the lives of children tomorrow.
We request you to pledge to leave a legacy to CRY and to children in your will. It's easy to do, and one of the most effective ways you can help us keep our work going and restore to children and communities their rights.
How to leave us a legacy:
If you've never made a Will before: Please visit a lawyer/solicitor who will help you assess your assets and prepare a will. You will need to inform the lawyer and the executor of the will that you would like to make a bequest to CRY.
If you already have a Will: If you have already made a will then you will need to add a Codicil through your lawyer. The Codicil will state your bequest to CRY.

Legacy pledges help us to plan for the future. Knowing what funds may become available makes us more secure about planning long term projects. That's why we have included a Legacy Pledge Form for supporters who leave us a legacy to let us know their intentions.
Please download the form and mail it to the CRY office nearest to you:

Completing a legacy pledge form does not commit you in any legal sense to leaving a legacy to CRY, and you can change your mind at any time. Furthermore, it is entirely up to you what information you choose to give us about the legacy you intend to make.
