What should education do for a child? Only teach her to read and write or something more? |

Education, quality healthcare, a home are some of the things that we have always taken for granted. Yet millions of Indian children are denied these options. Parents unable to find employment or earn a living wage, lack of access to residential facilities and nourishing food, grossly inadequate or substandard educational and healthcare facilities … all conspire to keep underprivileged children out of the system. Thereby denying them the right to development – physical, mental, emotional, even social and cultural.
CRY - Child Rights and You works on several fronts to ensure that all Indian children, regardless of gender, caste or religion, get access to education and the inputs they need for development. We bring together communities to fight for the rights of their children. We link partner NGOs and individuals working on the issues of children and child rights, across the country, thus enabling them to share experiences and learnings. We work with governments to avoid the drafting of short-sighted policies that are detrimental to children in the long run. But to achieve all this and more we need your continued support. It makes all the difference.
 In faith and goodwill.
