The Friends of CRY Club (Kuwait) Chess Tournament for Children

The Friends of CRY Club (Kuwait) held a chess tournament for children at the Indian Community School. The tournament was conducted as per FIDE rules and Swiss round system. At the end of each round, computerized ranking lists were generated and displayed through a projector. Cyriac S. Mattom won the junior (below 12 years) category, which had 42 participants. R. Varshini emerged triumphant in the senior group, which attracted 50 entries. Both winners and runners up got trophies, all participants got medals and CRY certificates.
