HOPE since its inception has remained focused on the key issues of Lohardaga and has tried to address these issues in its intervention areas over the years. These include lack of quality education, drop out from schools, low immunization coverage, trafficking and migration of girl children in particular. To work on these issues the organization has built up a few strategic collectives like the children’s collective known as Khad Khorha in local dialect, the mothers group and the youth group respectively. These collectives particularly the children’s collective has been instrumental in addressing the education and migration issue. Additionally the organization is working with the system very closely and on various occasions it has collaborated with the schools on activation and trafficking issues. The project areas for HOPE are spread over 12 villages in Senha and Lohardaga blocks of Lohardaga district in Jharkhand.
