- District level consultations and campaigns were very successful and also encouraged extensive media coverage about the issues
- A macro level study on understanding adolescent poverty was done by Littles Trust – A Centre for Children, in 25 districts of Tamil Nadu. The findings were shared with the State Government
- The partnership has expanded its exploration from Education into Budget Analysis and Quality of education – both of which are vital to the advocacy strategies for the future both at partner and alliance levels
The vision of the organization Little Trust is to build child friendly, gender equal and a sustainability society in 15 villages of Thirupparankundram block of Madurai district, Tamil Nadu. Little has successfully completed the macro level research study on “Understanding Children in the age group of 15-18 years of age in Poverty in Tamil Nadu” with the support of CRY from 2012-2013. The Main research are include 640 panchayats across 32 districts in Tamil Nadu. It came into existence in the year 2002 and has been working directly with the children in Thirupparankundram block of Madurai district. It started running facilitating centres across the villages supporting children’s studies using child friendly methodologies, trained volunteers in concepts of child rights are involved in teaching the children. Littles Trust has networked with many NGOs and lawyers in taking up issues of children.
