CHANGE ENABLED
  • Nabadiganta Gram Unnayan Samity (NGUS), people’s organisation is formed and has become functional to ensure child rights issues in these villages
  • 100% immunization amongst children from 0-5 years in 18 villages has been achieved
  • 98% institutional deliveries were done in government healthcare institutions
  • Drinking water and sanitation facilities made available in schools; school boundary constructed and 4 schools electrified
WHAT CHANGED

OMRAH is directly working in 18 revenue villages in the Nischintkoili Block of Asureserwar Panchayat of Cuttack district in Odisha. Majority of the population comprises of scheduled caste and other backward communities, agriculture being their main occupation. In the present context the organization is involved in the mass mobilization process for ensuring the rights of children in the project areas. The organization has supported nurturing of different groups of women, children, youth, adolescent girls and workers in the area. In the project area regular support in terms of capacity building, exposure to opportunities are provided to the various groups to develop their understanding on child rights, their understanding has started reflecting in their actions as well.
