CRY World Shopping - Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is it very complicated to shop online?

Not at all. It's simple, convenient and safe. Here's what you have to do:

  1. Register yourself. You have to do this just once.
  2. Browse the catalogue. When you find something you like, select the Buy now link below the thumbnail. To see more details, select the More Info link.
  3. To review or edit the contents of your cart, select the View / edit cart link. Your selections will be displayed and you can make changes or delete items.
  4. To finish shopping, select the Proceed to checkout link. Your order will be displayed. Check this carefully and confirm that it is correct.
  5. Your shipping details, as registered with CRY, will be displayed. If you want to ship to another address in India, you can enter it in the fields provided on the page.
  6. Your final bill, with taxes (if applicable) and freight, will be displayed. On accepting this, you will taken to the Citibank credit card payment gateway. Fill in your credit card details. You will get an immediate confirmation of your order. You will also receive an email message with an order number.
  • Do I need any special hardware or software to shop online?

No. But if this is the first time that you are doing any online transaction involving use of a credit card, you need to ensure that the transaction is secure. Click here to upgrade to the High Encryption Pack.

  • How will I know this?

In Microsoft Internet Explorer, select "Help" from the menu options. Select "About Internet Explorer" to find the cipher strength (encryption level) of your browser. If the cipher strength (encryption level) support is less than 128-bit, you may want to upgrade your browser.

  • Is it safe to give my credit card details online?

Sure it is. We adopt stringent security measures to ensure that critically sensitive information, such as your personal information and your credit card details, are protected. These measures include the following:

- All your personal information is encrypted before it is transmitted over the Internet. This guarantees that your information is inaccessible to any third party.
- We use industry-standard SSL (Standard Sockets Layer) Encryption Technology for data encryption.
- We have been certified as a VeriSign Secure site. Verisign is a leading US-based Net Authentication Agency which certifies that a site's transactions are secured by SSL encryption.

  • Why do I have to register in order to shop?

You need to register because we need certain personal details from you, like your address. Registration ensures you enter it just once and not again and again. Of course, if your address changes, or you want to ship a particular order to a different address, you can do that also. Please note that we treat all user details with the greatest confidentiality.

  • How safe is my personal information with CRY on the CRY site?

  • What if my address or phone number changes?

You have complete control over your personal information on the CRY site. You can change all your personal data - name, address, phone numbers, email id. However you cannot change your user id and password.

  • What if I forget my password?

Please click the Forgot Password link. Enter your email-id and your password will be e-mailed to you

  • What is a shopping cart?

A shopping cart on a website is similar to the cart you use in a self-service supermarket or store. You add items that you wish to purchase to the cart. If you change your mind, you remove them from the cart. When done, you proceed to the payment counter to pay for your order. You can add as many items as you want to your shopping cart.

  • Is there any minimum order quantity that I need to place?

For the CRY greeting cards we do have a minimum order quantity. It is 10 cards of a single design. For products other than cards, the minimum order is 1 unit.

For Blank cards or no message printed in the card, your minimum order quantity must be 5 packets [50 cards] or its multiples thereof.

  • What is the discount range available for CRY products?

The discount depends on the product. It is displayed when you select the Buy now or More info links below each item.

  • Do you charge for delivery?

Yes, we do charge nominal rates as freight charges. They are as given below -

o If the order is for less than Rs 250, the delivery charge is Rs 30
o If order is between Rs 251 - Rs 1000, then the delivery charge is Rs 75
o If order is for Rs 1001 - Rs 2000, then the delivery charge is Rs 100
o If order is for Rs 2001 - Rs 4000, then the delivery charge is Rs 300
o If order is for Rs 4001 - Rs 6000, then the delivery charge is Rs 500
o If order is for Rs 6001 or more, then the delivery charge is Rs 1000

  • What about other taxes and levies like sales tax and octroi?

All the CRY greeting cards and paper items are exempted from sales tax as per the Central Sales Tax Act. Incase of the other products, price indicated is inclusive VAT, Octroi and other local taxes if any.

  • Do you deliver to locations outside India?

We deliver only within India. However, you can place an order from outside India as long as your shipping address is located in India. Within India, we will deliver your order only to destinations covered by the Post Office's registered parcel service. We will not ship different items in a single order to different shipping addresses.

  • Can I cancel an order or change the order after it is placed?

Yes, you can cancel or change the order within 24 hours from the date of placing the order. See terms & conditions for more information.

  • What do I do in case I receive a damaged product?

Please e-mail us at cryworld@crymail.org for a replacement.
Note: Replacement is subject to availability of stocks, and the damaged product(s) will have to be returned to us before the replacement order is processed.

  • Can I return a product ordered from the CRY site?

You may return a product ordered online within 7 days of receiving the shipment. It should be unopened, and in its original packaging. For more information, please write to the CRY office nearest to you or email us at the cryworld@crymail.org

Note: Shipping costs will be deducted at the time of making the refund.

  • How can I pay for my order?

You can pay using your credit card online. Both Master and Visa are accepted. However, we do not accept American Express credit cards on the CRY site.You may also order by cheque or demand draft . Orders will be delivered within a maximum of 10 working days from the realisation of the cheque/ Demand Draft. Cheque/ DD to made to "RPM & Co.".

  • How do I contact you regarding my order?
