The village of Vijayanagar (Patparpali panchayat, Chura block, District Gariyaband) lying near the border of Chattisgarh and Odisha, is inhabited by tribal residents. Rukamani Bai Markam, 28 and her husband, Kaliram Markam, are permanent residents of this village.
