Believe in the motto of CRY. We are here to being in a permanent solution to issues. So if you are looking to satisfy your conscience, CRY may not be the place for you. Working at CRY requires perseverance and selflessness. Achieving results is not easy, sometimes you may end up achieving nothing on paper. But remember, we learn out of every experience, and when you bring a change, you’ll bring a change that lasts. Everyone at CRY has the unique opportunity to be part of history.

The best thing about CRY is that they don’t teach children rather motivate them to go to government schools. It is important because none of us can give them that education that will help them get jobs and proper knowledge, that is what only the schools can provide.

We all joined a cause because we believed in it. Along the path, we tend to get disheartened due to various reasons – System, Our own group not responding etc etc. Well I would say that, since we believe in our cause let us just put in whatever effort we can garner without caring about anything else. Time surely will change …:-)

It’s an act of volunteering- you can give as much or as little as you want, but each small effort can bring in a smile to a child, which is priceless. A volunteer may not be able to bring about a big change, but he can certainly bring in a hope for one. 🙂

Not all children are as fortunate as we were as a kid. There are so many children in our country whose childhood is stolen from them because of the various reasons like corruption, govt norms, policies, ignorance, etc. We at CRY are fighting for the childhood of these less fortunate children so that we can provide them what is their basic right – their childhood. Last but not the least – the happiness and satisfaction which you get from such a noble cause can’t be explained, it can only be experienced.

I thank my stars to be born in a family where I had all the elements for a perfect childhood, all the opportunities, love and care that i needed. I guess this is true for all the families in the middle and higher income group. Many of us had a memorable n blissful childhood. But not all children are so blessed like us. I think a little bit of contribution from all of us can not only ensure them their right to proper childhood but also ensure their future. If one child out of a poor family stands up on his own feet, he can pull out his whole family n coming generations out of their miseries

My experience with CRY has been a very fulfilling one. It’s not just about the kind of work you do, but also about the way you carry out the work, and the spirit which is inculcated in you. The best part is that you get to make a change at the most fundamental level, and even the smallest contribution can go a long way forward in making a difference.

We all are too privileged to understand the issues of marginalized child’s life- it’s not our fault as we have never been through the same. If you get a chance, meet them, interact with them and you will get to know a completely different world- a world as amazing as ours but with fewer opportunities. So, don’t just sympathize. Be in their shoes for a day and you will empathize.

Every child is unique. God’s gift. It is the duty of each of us to ensure that they get their rights. We were lucky enough to go to good schools, study in good colleges, and look forward for a bright future. By just contributing a small portion of our free time, we can make a world of a difference in their life.
Being volunteers at CRY, we get to work directly for and with the children. The satisfaction and contentment one feels on helping a child go to a better school, live in a safer place and exercise his due rights is beyond everything.Come and give it a try once and then decide.

Even though there are ample resources made available to the BMC schools by the government they aren’t properly utilized. Whether the carelessness is there at the levels of BMC or the school management or the teachers or even the parents, it’s the children who are ultimately suffering. There is a change in attitude that is required at each and every level – BMC officials have to make sure that all the resources are reaching the schools, school management should make sure that the resources are properly utilized, teachers should consider their duty not to just come to the classes but also to teach well and last but not the least parent should recognize the importance of education and make sure that the children are attending the schools.
We the privileged people have never faced some of the issues related to child rights. We truly understand the importance of child rights. However when it comes to working towards making sure that the underprivileged sections of the society are not deprived of these rights we just don’t care. Many a times we feel that it’s the responsibility of the government or that one person cant change anything. Truly speaking this is how I used to feel before I joined CRY. Soon I realized that no matter how small our contribution can be , even if we are able to convince a few others about the importance of child rights then we can bring about a huge change. It is us who being educated are able to understand it’s true importance, it is us who have all the resources to make demands for child right and it is us who can teach the people in the slums the importance of child rights and how to fight for them. At CRY we all work together to spread the awareness of child rights and motivate the privileged section of the society to fight for them. It’s YOU who can bring about the change.

A long journey of thousand miles begins with the first step. Once we’ve taken this first step by joining CRY you’ve a direction. Every body wants to give back to the society in some way or other but we don’t have a direction or a motivating environment. You can find all this at CRY. The most impressive part is the fact that although you’re helping kids CRY ensures that we don not cross the thin boundary of becoming a necessary hand from a helping hand to these kids. We’re there to make them aware of their rights and motivate them to go for it instead of doing charities and make them feel needful. You must be thinking that’s strange, because the first thing that comes to your mind when you see their plight is to do some charity, but chairty is temporary but all that CRY asks for, is your time and energy and help people achieve their needs on their own by proper education and awareness of various existing schemes. I’m very new to CRY, but I’m sure I’ll play a long innings here.
