Click Rights Initiative
CRY (Child Rights and You) launched its annual photo journalism initiative Click Rights across the capital city. It is an exhibition of perfectly captured pictures depicting health and nutrition challenges faced by children below the age group of five in the country. The exhibition, supported by DMRC (Delhi Metro rail Corporation), highlights issues of children under the age of 5 years and will be displayed across 12 metro stations in Delhi .
The exhibition, which is in its fourth year, is a part of CRY’s Get Healthy campaign that will give 2,81,045 children a healthy start to their lives. A large number of the photographs have been contributed by children from CRY intervention areas, with training from CRY photography volunteers.
These children were given cameras to photograph the daily lives of their younger siblings. Many of the elder children had in fact never stepped into a school because they were entrusted to look after their younger siblings.
The photographs will be showcased across 12 metro stations — Shahdara, Kashmere Gate, Vishwavidyalaya, Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bazar, New Delhi, Rajiv Chowk, Uttam Nagar East, Janakpuri West, Anand Vihar ISBT, Mandi House, ITO.
The exhibition will be held till December 31, 2015.
