The CRY Child Rights Champion Awards ceremony at the Palladium Hotel in Mumbai saw stalwarts of Indian Industry lauded for demonstrating extraordinary commitment to the rights of children in India. Dabur India Limited won the ‘CRY Child Rights Champion’ award and the Special Jury Award for the Best Employee Engagement was presented to HCL Technologies Limited.

The ‘CRY Child Rights Champion’ awards - the first of its kind in India - was instituted by CRY – Child Rights and You in an effort to recognise companies that give special focus to this most critical and vulnerable stakeholder.

The awards were judged by a Jury comprising eminent personalities representing the government, civil society and the corporate sector like Mr. John Elkington, founding Partner & Executive Chairman of Volans; Ms. Shanta Sinha, Chairperson, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights; Mr. Gopal Sarma, Partner, BAIN & Company and Ms. Anu Aga, Director, Thermax Limited.

The award ceremony was held at the 3rd CRY Corporate Responsibility Summit December 2013.
