Chale Chalo Project from CRY to Mitigate the Impact of Poverty on Children

  • Health service providers – AWW, Asha, HWM, and HWF have a better understanding on their roles and are proactive in delivery
  • SMCs have been formed and have acting on their responsibilities
  • Drop-out children re-enrolled and are attending school regularly
  • 46 migrants child labours rescued and re-enrolled in schools

The social activists are the youth who are committed to work with the marginalized communities have come together to form CHALE CHALO (Let’s Move Forward) with positive attitude that change is possible. The organization works with children, youth, tribals, dalits, other backward castes, women, differently abled people, landless labourers, forest dwellers, fishermen, migrants, displaced people, small and marginal farmers and other disadvantaged communities for protection and promotion of their rights. Chale Chalo works in in 28 villages of Khariar and Borden block in the Nuapada district in Orissa and have recently added 8 New Villages of Golamunda block of Mahlinga Gram Panchayat in the Kalahandi district. The spread awareness on the issues through organizing, educating, capacity building, empowering and enabling them to help themselves for sustainable socio-economic and political transformation working towards the establishment of a just human society.
