Lok Astha Sewa Sansthan (LASS) was established in 2006 by four young vibrant people and headed by Ms. Lata Netam. The project is working in 15 villages of the Churra block in Raipur, Chhattisgarh for the past 3 years towards ensuring the rights child of tribal children. During these 3 years the organization, has been able to build the perspective of the mahila mandal, youth groups and adolescent girls on child rights issues. The organization has also been working with children on the health issue, as the project area observes a high degree of malnourishment amongst children. It has formed Sangathans (mahila groups) in the community to address the livelihood and forest rights. The organization has helped the ICDS workers to understand the processes, by supervising the weighing, distribution of meals to the children, and updating their registers.
