Navshrishti Project in Delhi

  • 218 children in the age group of 0-5 years covered in growth monitoring
  • 56 Severely Acute Malnourished children identified and treated
  • 32 new children and 19 dropouts were enrolled in schools
  • 8 cases of missing children were shared with DCPCR

Navshrishti came into existence in 1994, and CRY started to support them from 1998-99. The organization works in 5 different slums of Delhi. The organization has played a pioneer role in bringing focus to the issue of missing children in Delhi. The focus is to takethe initiative of missing children to the next level by conducting awareness generation programmes with school going children and sensitization programmes with police officials.

Additionally, the issue of malnourished children is being followed in Gosai, Banjara community and in Holambikalan. The intervention of the organization has led to increased awareness in the Gosai community about immunization of women and children.
