Code 2-
Protection for Children

The Coronavirus pandemic will leave a trail of destruction for India’s underprivileged children in its wake and in reality, this crisis is far from being over.

India already had over 33 million child labourers, between the ages of 6 and 18 years – given the loss of livelihoods during the lockdown, this number will rapidly rise as more underprivileged children are forced to work and support their families. A situation that will not only deprive them of going back to school and chase their dreams but also leave them severely vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.

CRY, India’s most trusted NGO, works towards ensuring such children get a chance to go to school instead of work. Your support will help CRY take the necessary action by conducting awareness drives that show parents how negatively child labour impacts their children’s lives and connecting families from marginalised communities to livelihood schemes to help reduce their financial burden.

No contribution is too small and will make a big difference, by giving India’s most vulnerable children a chance at a brighter future in a COVID world.

"I believe that everyone has something to donate-be it in the form of money, love or time. But if the privileged do not spare even a small amount of money for charity, then who will? The knowledge that each dollar will be spent effectively by CRY to solve critical issues brings a smile to my face."

Simron Sokhi, Donor from Singapore

"Changing the lives of children is a continuous process. Nothing can be done in a limited period. As individuals we have to continue to give support by way of financial help, time as well as other resources. I believe in continuity and devotion without deviation. CRY is doing just that."
