Why support #PooriPadhaiDeshKiBhalai?

The Challenge:

Education is every child’s right, but for many girls in India, it remains out of reach.

Only 3 out of 5 girls in India are enrolled in higher secondary education. (Source: GER, UDISE 2021-22)

Despite the Right to Education Act 2009 promising free and compulsory education for children up to age 14, countless girls are forced to drop out of school due to deep-rooted societal norms, early marriage, and inadequate school infrastructure. When a girl is pulled out of school, it’s not just her education that ends—it’s her dreams, her independence, and her future.

Girls who leave school early are more likely to face early marriage and child labour, trapping them in a cycle of poverty and missed opportunities. But with access to education, a girl can rewrite her story—she can choose her future.

How will your donation help?

What We’re Doing for Girls’ Education
At Child Rights and You (CRY), we’ve been working for decades to give girls the power to dream and the tools to succeed. With the support of grassroots partners, we’ve created sustainable change at every level—helping girls stay in school and thrive.

Through #PooriPadhaiDeshKiBhalai, we’re tackling the key barriers to girls’ education:
✅ Spreading Awareness: Helping families and communities understand the value of educating girls.
✅ Ending Harmful Practices: Fighting child marriage and labour by changing mindsets and raising awareness.
✅ Connecting Families to Government Support: Informing parents about government schemes and financial assistance for educating daughters.
✅ Building Confidence and Leadership: Empowering girls through peer support groups to raise their voices and make their own choices

Why Educating Girls Matters
When you educate a girl, you empower her to stand on her own feet, make her own choices, and create a better life for herself and her family. Educated girls are more likely to secure better jobs, delay marriage, raise healthier children, and contribute to their communities.

Educating girls doesn’t just transform their lives—it strengthens the entire nation. Every girl deserves the chance to build a future of her choosing.

Our Impact So Far
Through #PooriPadhaiDeshKiBhalai, 1.7 lakh girlsare enrolled in school. But thousands of girls are still waiting for their chance to learn and grow.

Your support can open the doors of a classroom—and a world of possibilities—for a girl.

Let’s come together to help even more girls reclaim their right to education and shape a brighter future for India — kyunki unki poori padhai mein hi hai desh ki bhalai.

#MyVisitingCard Film
A visiting card isn’t just a piece of paper—it’s a symbol of identity, opportunity, and possibility.

For a girl striving to complete her education, a visiting card represents more than just a career—it’s proof that she dared to dream and had the chance to make those dreams come true.

When girls are educated, they become leaders, innovators, and changemakers. The potential is already within them—all they need is the opportunity.

👉 Watch the video to discover how this small card carries a life-changing message—and if it moves you, share it with others.
