Purpose of the Role:
CRY UK is seeking a proactive and passionate Fundraising Manager who will join us on a rewarding journey to create lasting impact for India’s children. The Fundraising Manager will support CRY UK’s efforts to raise funds against a set target for earmarked projects in India working for the welfare of disadvantaged and vulnerable children. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for identifying, cultivating and maximizing relationships with Major Donors, Family Foundations and Companies through research, networking, proposals, events and excellent stewardship.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
As Fundraising Manager, you will be reporting to the Chairman of the CRY UK Board, and will be responsible for the following:

  • Identify, cultivate and develop a portfolio of prospective Major Donors, Companies, Family Foundations.
  • Develop high quality funding proposals, applications and reports for submission to prospects and donors.
  • Take a proactive approach to networking and cultivating new cold contacts and prospects.
  • Support the development and delivery of the stewardship, events and other fundraising processes and avenues
  • Depending on experience may be involved in supporting the development of the CRY UK fundraising strategy with the CRY UK Board
  • Display the values of CRYUK at all times.

Job requirement: 5 -7 years in Fundraising for a small/mid-level charity

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Track record of initiating new relationships
  • Successful track record of meeting or exceeding income targets
  • Experience of identifying and cultivating cold prospects
  • Experience of deepening customer/donor relationships and growing revenue year on year
  • Knowledge of legal, financial and ethical considerations related to fundraising from Major Donors, Corporates and Family Foundations.

  • Experience of fundraising for a children’s charity is desirable

The role will be responsible for supervision and ensuring accuracy in the Functional Budgets and Financial MIS on a monthly basis and will maintain complete financial data as required by the Line Management. This role will maintain updated trackers of all GSS related information (sanctions/pme/disbursals) and provide timely analysis and data with regional disaggregation as required.

The role will have to liaise with multiple internal stakeholders and will be part of the national hub in dsho for all information related to systems and grants. He/she will adhere to CRY’s values and norms at all times.

She/he will manage specific grants as required by the Function and ensure all deliverables related to coordination, documentation and guidance to regons and with stakeholders outside the Function.

You:
You must be a Graduate/Post Graduate in SW/Development Studies, postgraduate in Commerce or Economics. Minimum 5 to 7 years of work experience in Operations and Systems in the development sector with experience of working in teams that manage large volume of Financial MIS. Experience of working in national roles in large NGOs or in the child rights sector is an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance Level Support

  • Budget: Assisting the organization in preparation of budget of the projects.
  • Grant Management: Grant monitoring, evaluation, reconciliation, and review on monthly basis.
  • TDS Returns: Responsible for calculation, deduction of TDS and preparation of statement for TDS returns. File TDS returns on time under direct supervision of Manager (FCA).
  • Payment Maker: Responsible for making organization payments via online or through cheques.
  • Accounts Management: Responsible to handle entire accounts as s per the organizational guidelines norms
  • Verification of Expenses: Responsible to check authenticity of expenses before payment.
  • Validation of Bills: Responsible for verification, and validation of bills/vouchers.
  • Disbursements: Process and recommend further payments to be done by CRY.
  • Financial Statements: Provide necessary information to CRY for the preparation of financial statement
  • Workings on UCs and other reporting requirements of Grants
  • Proficient in tally, accounts management, grants
  • Bookkeeping: Maintenance of accounts and finance registers. Reconciliation of bank statement and other account balances. Maintain inward-outward and asset registers.
  • Audits: Coordinate with the audit team during internal audit, statutory audit, and audits by third party appointed by the grant(s) award agencies.
  • Reporting: Preparation of reports in prescribed format of grant award agencies and its submission within time frame. Preparation of statement of expenditure and issuance of MIS of the projects and organization on monthly basis.
  • Guidance: Responsible to guide staff, experts, consultants in preparing travel claims, resolving their issues or concerns. Issue the disbursement statement(s) to staff, experts, consultants with clear description of deductions in their claims as per organization policy.
  • Reporting to Line Manager for all finance and accounts related guidance and day to day assignments.

Administrative Level Support

  • Support in logistics arrangement the team in organizing capacity building / training programs, events, meetings (inside and outside office)
  • Manage the project accounts during the entire project implementation period.
  • Liaise with relevant government agencies and other project partners for effective and timely receipt of various physical and financial reporting from across all project teams and partners.
  • Liaise with HO / RO finance team to ensure timely processing of payments.
  • Ensuring all procurement and HR requests get timely processed. Work closely with other team members and conduct a quality check on MOU, RFPs, LoAs, ToRs for process.

Logistic Support

  • Arrange for logistics and system protocols for travel of team members, consultants, government officials, etc.
  • Ensure timely submission and clearance of travel claims and other local reimbursements.
  • Support all procurement processes including vendor identification, assessment, registration, recording of delivery, quality control, timely payments, and closure.
  • Provide inputs for the timely submission of all progress and other reports as may be required by RO / Donor and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with other operations and programme team members in the PMU for effective delivery of results.
  • Perform any other tasks consistent with the level of the post and/ or assigned by the Line / Project Manager.

You:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, development studies, management). Minimum of 5 years of experience in program coordination or management, preferably in the field of child rights or community development. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and support a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. Sound understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles and methodologies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. Familiarity with the social, cultural, and political context of the district. Commitment to the mission and values of CRY, with a passion for advocating for children’s rights and welfare.

Additional Information

  • 15 to 18 days travel with in the project locations within the blocks of the district required to oversee program activities and engage with field level program team and Govt. stakeholders

Qualification:

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Project Lead and working closely with the District Coordinator, you will be anchoring the day-to-day MIS operations for the project. You will be involved in activities such as data validation, preparation and analysis and consolidate, monitor progress achieved against pre-decided indicators pertaining to the project. You will generate disaggregated reports as required for various purposes. Your priority focus will be to develop and maintain accurate and quality data for program implementation and decision-making purposes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct data collection with the program staff by sharing relevant forms or templates with them for data collection. Assist the project team with the available M&E tools and support them in its efficient use.
  • Directly support staff in the field for any capacity on using any online platform and using the M&E tools and templates for data collection.
  • Regular M&E skill sharing with staff and project team.
  • Conduct data verifications and cleaning through working together with the data collection team.
  • Analyze data and highlight key findings and trends
  • Provide the required data and analysis for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual reports
  • Initiate and coordinate surveys, assessments and studies by preparing tools, collating, data cleaning and ensure data readiness for analysis
  • Work in close coordination with the ICDS stakeholders in ensuring collected data is in alignment with the data maintained in the centers.
  • Maintain existing indicator tracking tools; develop additional databases and tracking tools as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions. Generate indicator reports for tracking progress against key indicators as needed.
  • Close coordination with the CRY team and reporting manager.

Qualification:
Degree in Social Sciences/Social Work/Statistics/ Population Studies. 3 to 5 years of experience in a Monitoring & Evaluation role in the development sector.

Skill sets required:

  • Experience in data processing and management of large-scale datasets.
  • Proficient in Advanced all MS tools like Excel, spreadsheets, Word processing, PPT, etc.
  • Team Player with an orientation to play a supportive role.
  • Ability to communicate and document effectively in English (proficient in reading, speaking and writing), Telugu (proficient in reading, speaking and writing) and Hindi (preferable)

Expectations of the role:
