Girls like Iba have big dreams. But for many, education remains out of reach.
The Reality for Girls in India
For many girls in India, the right to education is still a distant dream. Some are not even allowed to be born. Those who do survive often face barriers like early marriage, forced labor, financial struggles, and societal norms that prioritize boys’ education over theirs. These challenges prevent them from realizing their true potential.
In fact, only 3 out of 5 girls are enrolled in higher secondary education. (Source: GER, UDISE 2021-22)
