CRY works on child rights issues – child education, nutrition, healthcare, child marriage, and child labour – to ensure they have happy, healthy, and creative childhoods. It addresses children’s critical needs by working with project partners at the grassroots level to create sustainable change at all levels. CRY has a presence in 20 states; 118 districts in India which include Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune, and Chennai through its 144 projects.
How you can make a difference?
At 472 million, children account for 40% of India’s population. While protecting children’s rights in India is a top government priority because it is incorporated in the constitution and covered by laws. Despite this, children in India continue to face challenges in exercising these rights, particularly their right to education, protection, survival, and participation.
Millions of underprivileged children in India cannot go to school, do not get proper nutrition or healthcare and are vulnerable to abuse and exploitation. Ensure nutrition for underweight babies
