This Mother’s Day, Help a Mother Keep Her Promise

Across India, every mother dreams of giving her child a better future. But for many families, challenges like poverty, child marriage, unsafe environments, and lack of access to education make that dream difficult to achieve.

At CRY, we meet mothers every day who are trying their best to change this reality for their children. Many of them may not have had the opportunity to study themselves, but they know that education can open doors their children never thought possible.

Every day, they fight to: Keep their children in school; Protect them from child labour and child marriage; Give them safer, brighter futures; Help them grow up with confidence and opportunities.

Because every mother wants her child to have choices in life.

When Mothers Feel Supported, Lives Begin to Change

In difficult situations, families are often forced to make hard decisions for their children’s future.

Through CRY’s work in communities, mothers receive support, awareness, and guidance that helps them continue choosing education for their children, even during the toughest times.

Your support can help:

  • Keep children in school
  • Prevent school dropouts
  • Protect girls from child marriage
  • Reduce the risk of child labour
  • Help children dream bigger for their future

Sometimes, one decision can change the course of a child’s life.

Meet Sumitra: The Happiest Mother in Narayan Nagar

After losing her husband, Sumitra spent long days working in the fields to support her family. There was pressure to marry her daughter early, as many believed that was the safest option for her future.

But Sumitra chose differently.

She chose to keep her daughter in school.

Today, her daughter is studying to become a police officer, something that once felt impossible for their family.

And that is what makes Sumitra the happiest mother in Narayan Nagar.

With support, awareness, and encouragement from CRY’s community work, mothers like Sumitra are able to believe in a different future for their children.

A future filled with confidence, dignity, and opportunity.

This Mother’s Day, Stand With Mothers Like Sumitra

Your support can help more children stay in school and give more mothers hope for their children’s future.

Because when a child gets the chance to learn, dream, and grow, an entire family’s future begins to change.

Donate now and help build brighter futures for children across India.
