- Ensuring children receive timely vaccinations and sufficient nutrition
- Assisting with enrollment drives in villages to make sure kids are enrolled in school
- Preventing child marriage and child marriage by providing MNREGA job opportunities to disadvantaged families
- Helping kids access government perks like scholarships and educational resources in order to pursue higher education
Our work during COVID-19:
As a part of Covid Relief efforts, CRY covered project areas in 19 states through direct implementations and in-kind donations. We reached 1,00,000 households and ensured vaccination of over 3.5 lakh adults through vaccine mitra campaign to keep children protected.
Our on-ground team helped provide safe space for children orphaned by coronavirus in coordination with CWC (Child welfare committee) either in institutional care or in the custody of responsible adults as per the Juvenile justice act. We ensured children are connected children to the COVID-specific sponsorship schemes giving all necessary documentation support that provides them a minimum stipend as mandated under the integrated child protection scheme.
Providing psychosocial support for orphan children and their guardians, families to address stress and mental health issues.
In 2021-22, CRY – a top charity in India, ensured education of 1,78,062 children and protected 56,707 children, under the age of 5 years from malnutrition. It also protected 1,75,576 children between the ages of 6-18 years, from child labour and prevented child marriage of 58,427 adolescent girls, between 11-18 years of age.
