Think about child rights
Advocacy, simply put is to 'amplify voice'. At CRY, being a Child Rights advocate means - to amplify the voice of children. We invite you to join us in this movement to put children first.
What you can do:
- Try looking at the world through the eyes of a child. Think giant-sized doors and shoes. Imagine having to work with your computer at a height of 10 feet. Visualise living in a gigantic world where even to quench your thirst you need to deal with a heavy, huge bottle of water.
- Think about what is in the long-term best interests of every child you meet - your own children, your neighbour's, the child who works at the tea stall nearby, your maid's/driver's children. Think up opportunities you can give all of these children to play, learn, do creative things together.
- Sit with your kids and work on a class project on the situation of their compatriots. Initiate a productive discussion with your kids when you write out a cheque to contribute to a cause.
