CRY at the 'House of Lords'

A meeting with Lord Dholakia at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Delhi in January 2004 presented CRY an opportunity to create awareness on the situation of underprivileged Indian children and their rights in UK. His Lordship offered to arrange a presentation for CRY at the House of Lords. on October 20, 2004. "The Impact of Globalisation on Child Rights in India” was the topic of the presentation. The aim was to elevate CRY visibility and positioning among key influencers in the U.K. Those who attended were Members of the House of Lords, key decision makers at British foundations, corporates and regulators, CRY donors and volunteers in the U.K. CRY received visibility in terms of media coverage too. Read some of the coverage in "CRY in News". For further information on CRY's activities in the UK write Ms. Nina at cryuk.london@crymail.org
