CRY's campaign in the Tamil Nadu State Assembly Elections - 2011
As Tamil Nadu is getting geared up for the State Assembly Elections on 13th April, 2011, there continues to be reports of children like Nagaraj from Krishnagiri district who says his village is yet to see an anganwadi!
The Hindu: Hundreds of children's woes crying for political parties' attention
Young World (Hindu) - Listen to the young voices
But just because children cannot vote, it does not mean their voices should not be heard. We, as Indians with the authority to vote need to speak up for the rights of these children.
This is why, for these elections, CRY, along with partner NGOs has taken forward the Child Rights Manifesto, demanding from all political parties to make a commitment towards children and their rights.

CRY organized a Press Conference on March 10th, 2011 releasing the Manifesto. Representatives from CRY also met up with various political parties in an attempt to sensitize the policy makers and to urge them to include child rights in the party's manifestos.
But this is not enough. We need your support to strengthen this movement. Join us in demanding accountability for the children of our State.
