Children and youth are vital forces for change. Our Youth and Volunteer Action works with schools, colleges, and communities, seeking to develop critical understanding about Rights and citizen actions in order to build a social movement for Child Rights. We encourage and support volunteerism to empower people and communities for collective actions for change. We work on curricula and training of teachers and conduct interactive and professionally developed programmes that enable us to sensitise the youth with the belief that "All children equal and have equal rights to Survival, Development, Protection and Participation".
As an extension of CRY's vision for the youth, we have developed a site called "CRY BUDDIES". It is that Indian one-stop premier space in the virtual world available for children to visit, to read about and understand, enjoy the experience in a fun yet informative way, ask questions, comment and much more on the issue of Child Rights. The site aims to inform children in an interactive method on what rights children have, about CRY and various ways for them, as young adults, to get involved in this mission.
If you are a parent, teacher, principal, or a citizen who would like to know more on child rights and how children can receive a rights-based orientation, write to any of the CRY offices or to crybuddies@crymail.org
