- 729 institutional deliveries were reported and no infant deaths were reported in the area
- 67 out of school children (6-18 years) were enrolled last year
Kajla Jana Kalyan Samiti (KJKS) has a partnership with CRY since a long time. It has a right based integrated approach for development of villages through development units. KJKS acts as a facilitator in the process of development and as a resource center. It has collaborated with stakeholders in the government sector, hence gives ways for sustainable and replicable models of development in line with child rights centricity towards realizing holistic child rights. KJKS facilitates process of development and a resource centre and development units will carry out Rights based work and awareness drives on Child Rights, education, health, youth and culture. They will be working towards strengthening and capacity building of stakeholders, networking with like-minded individuals and organizations across 70 villages in 7 blocks of East and West Medinipur districts in West Bengal.
