It’s that time of the year that is full of festivities and celebrations. While we are preparing for the upcoming celebrations, let us also make the underprivileged children a part of it. The past year and a half of the pandemic have made children unseen victims and vulnerable. The loss of livelihood of people along with the disruption of education, primary healthcare centres and midday meal schemes, have left children to struggle both mentally and physically. A lot of them are forced into child labour and child marriage during the pandemic.
To bring a change in the lives of these children, CRY is working tirelessly to help them continue with their education and ensure healthcare facilities safeguarding their childhoods. Our team is working to ensure our children survive and thrive by focusing on:
We are protecting children from malnutrition to reduce infant mortality and ensuring timely immunization
Strengthening child protection mechanisms to curb the rising cases of child labour, child marriage and trafficking
Ensuring continuity of education for children by providing them with digital support, community-based learning sessions in small groups
Just pick the Diwali gift that you’d like to share and make a contribution of your choice – every single rupee will go towards bringing lasting positive change in the lives of children. So go ahead and spread the festive cheer and ensure that the light and warmth of this festival reach India’s underprivileged children who need it the most.
From all of us at CRY, wish you and your loved ones a Happy Diwali!
