Challenges Faced by Girls

In many parts of our country, the girl child is still not welcomed. Sometimes, they aren’t even allowed to be born. And if they do survive, they face a lot of problems in getting a fair chance in life.

Girls in India have the power to achieve great things, but many of them don’t get proper education, food, or healthcare. Shockingly, many girls in India get married when they’re still children, and a lot of them have to work instead of going to school. This not only stops them from learning but also keeps them from reaching their full potential.

What We’re Doing for Girls’ Education

Being the leading girls education charity, Child Rights and You (CRY) is dedicated to the empowerment of girls since its inception. We collaborate with grassroots project partners to bring about sustainable change at all levels, ensuring every girl’s right to education is fulfilled. As a top NGO for girl education, we promote and support girls through 4 key focus areas:

  • Awareness Drives About The Importance of Education to spread awareness among communities and parents.
  • Fight Against Child Marriage and Labour by changing mindsets and raising awareness about the negative consequences of these harmful practices.
  • Inform about Government Schemes and Benefits for raising daughters to help overcome financial barriers and encourages investment in girls’ education.
  • Empower Girls through Collectives by fostering agency and confidence through support groups

Why Educating Girls Matters

When girls are educated, they are empowered to make their own choices, help their families, create more jobs, and make society better. So, it’s really important to change the way people think about girls’ education in India. Every girl deserves love and respect.

A study by McKinsey on Gender Parity found that if all girls complete their education and participate in the workforce, India could add a whopping $770 billion to the country’s GDP by 2025. This could mean a brighter future for everyone. Supporting girls’ education with donations is a great way to make this happen. Let’s all work together to help girls stay in school, stay healthy, and take control of their lives. You can help by donating to CRY. Donate today and get a 50% tax exemption on your donation.
