2 Million Lives Transformed

The year 23-24 marked a monumental milestone for CRY, as we transformed the lives of 2 million children. We are so thrilled to receive these numbers which represent more than just statistics; they symbolize a tangible change in the lives of countless children, thanks to the collective efforts of everyone who supported us.
In the pursuit of creating a brighter future for every child, CRY - Child Rights and You has been at the forefront of transformative change for the past 45 years. With unwavering support from individuals like you, CRY has achieved remarkable milestones, impacting the lives of millions of children across India. Let's delve into the journey of CRY and celebrate the significant achievements in various interventions aimed at empowering children and ensuring their rights are upheld.

Educational Impact

One of CRY's primary interventions focuses on educating children, and the results are truly inspiring. We were able to enrol 2,42,793 children in schools in different CRY projects which is an impressive 94% of children aged 6-18 are now attending school, surpassing the national average. Notably, our enrolment and retention rates for the 15-18 age group exceed the national standard by 13%.

Combating Malnutrition

Malnutrition remains a pressing issue in India, but CRY's interventions have made significant strides in addressing this challenge. In CRY project areas, an outstanding 92% of children under the age of 5 are protected from undernourishment. Moreover, only 8% of children in these areas are underweight, compared to the national average of 32%.

Ending Child Marriage and Child Labor

CRY's efforts have also contributed to significant victories in ending child marriage and child labour. Today, 99% of adolescent girls aged 11-18 are protected from child marriage, marking a major milestone in our fight for gender equality. Additionally, 88% of children aged 6-18 are now safe from child labour, enabling them to pursue education and envision a brighter future. Also, over 18000 child labourers were re-enrolled in schools in different project areas.

Building a Sustainable Future

In addition to addressing immediate challenges, CRY is committed to building a sustainable future for communities. Through initiatives like establishing 7,605 kitchen gardens across 12 states, we empower communities to grow food and achieve long-term food security.

Apart from these, we are so proud of the fact that 1,04,683 children are a part of the children's collective and have an independent voice along with 47,463 children who benefitted from digital learning through various CRY initiatives.

Celebrating 45 Years of Impact

As we celebrate our 45 years of CRY, we reflect on our journey and the remarkable achievements we have accomplished together. With an overall reach of 4.7 million children since its inception in 1979, we are immensely grateful to every individual who has been a part of this journey. Your support has been instrumental in creating happier childhoods and brighter futures for children across India.
Conclusion:
Let us continue to stand united in our mission to uphold the rights of every child and ensure they have access to education, nutrition, and a safe environment to thrive. Together, we can create a world where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Thank you for your unwavering support in transforming the lives of children through CRY.
