Your Role:
You will be responsible for managing CRY’s regional communication needs. Increasing CRY brand visibility, creating awareness around child rights and positioning CRY as a voice of authority on child rights will be a critical measure of this role.

Your role will involve conceptualizing ideas to make the brand more participative, liaising with external vendors/partners as well as with internal functions to plan and execute regional requirements, resourcing pro-bono/low cost advertising partnership avenues and creating content for communication needs. As a member of the Communications function, you will act as a brand custodian and ensure that all brand guidelines and communication SOPs are adhered to.

Eligibility:
You must be a Graduate/Post Graduate in Marketing/Communications or Mass Communications with 7 to 9 years experience in a brand communications role (with experience in copywriting) in a mid-sized organization. Strong understanding of communications as well as brand & marketing concepts along with excellent written and oral communication skills in English is essential. Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Coordination with HR & Consultants management:-

Manager – Project Audit

Kolkata

You would be responsible for handling internal audit and systems audit assignments and helping partner NGOs to adhere to CRY prescribed accounting norms and practices and internal control mechansims and guiding partners on adherence to statutory compliances of Income Tax and FCRA.

You will be responsible for:

  • Grant utilisation audit of Partner NGOs and prepare a time bound risk mitigation plan
  • Annual evaluation of risk mitigation plan and share feedback on status of mitigation
  • Prepare pre selection evaluation report
  • Adhere to all organisational systems, processes and timelines.

This role requires extensive travelling and the candidate should be open to travel at least 5-10 days a month once the pandemic situation improves.

You:
You must be a CA with 2 to 3 years of experience of internal audit, systems audit and preparing audit report. Sectoral experience is not mandatory. Rather strong exposure to audit would be welcome.

You:
You must be a graduate / post – graduate in Social Work, Sociology or Rural Development or equivalent qualification from a reputed institute. You must have 4 – 5 years experience in the field of urban or rural development, having experience in planning, monitoring and evaluating projects, interfacing with the government and other stakeholders. Initiative, ability to analyze and focus on outcome will be required to fulfill the role.

You should have experience and skills in grant making role, financial management aspects like financial statement analysis, knowledge & experience in financial system monitoring. Strong documentation & reporting skills are required. Strong written and oral communication skills in English & a working knowledge of the local language are essential. District Coordinator

Gujarat:- Dahod, PanchMahal

Function/Division: Development Support

Your Challenge:
At CRY – Child Rights and You, you’ll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to – survival, development, protection and participation. CRY has a holistic approach to development based on the child rights framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. CRY also places strong emphasis on networking with other NGOs and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for children.

This position will focus on Adolescent Empowerment and Ending of Child Marriage and is supported by UNICEF.

Your Objective:

  • Oversee the implementation of the Adolescent Empowerment and ending of child marriage project in the District.
  • Strengthening of government mechanism, system and structure at district, block and community level towards empowerment of adolescent and ending of child marriage.
  • Capacity building of stakeholders towards strengthening delivery of overall services (including education, health, child protection, local self-governance, life skills) for empowering adolescents

Specific Role & Responsibilities:
Program Management

  • Act as a focal point for implementation of the Adolescent project in the district as per the plan of action agreed between CRY and UNICEF.
  • Advocacy, networking and Liaison with government stakeholders, District Collectors, and other relevant departments.
  • Working with CRY supported partner in the district for direct implementation
  • Facilitate and take forward the engagement with stakeholders and build working relationships with counterparts like ICDS, DCPU, Health, Education and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • Facilitate need based training for government officials on thematic areas at the district and block level ensuring program efficiency/ serviceability, stake holder engagement
  • Provide support/orientation wherever required to the available networks, platforms in the district
  • Identify field level challenges, gaps in the systems and addressing them with relevant support
  • Maintaining MIS of the District related to the programme.
  • Documentation of innovations, successful processes, programme learning and challenges

Grant Management

  • Maintenance of financial utilisation MIS as per the budget.
  • Complete adherence to transparency and accountability in all expenditure as per guidelines of CRY.

You:
You must be a Masters’ degree/PG Diploma from a recognized university in Social Work/ Social Science/Humanities/ Development Communication, LLB/LLM etc. You must have 6-8 years experience in the field of urban or rural development, of advocacy and networking with the block, district and state administration in the arena of Human Rights/ Child Rights. Working Knowledge on the thematic area of Protection and having experience of working with and for the rights of adolescents will be an added advantage. Strong written and oral communication skills in English, working knowledge of the local language and experience of having worked with communities within the required district is a must. Competent in working with Power point, Excel and Ms Word. Clear understanding of child rights issues, especially adolescent issues, schemes, legislations and policies and implementation structures of the government.

State Program Manager

Gujarat

Function/Division: Development Support

Project: Adolescent Empowerment and Ending Child Marriage

Background of the Project:
CRY is partnering with UNICEF for the program implementation and subsequent scale-up of Adolescent Empowerment and Ending Child Marriage across the states of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, Gujarat, Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.

Your Challenge:
At CRY – Child Rights and You, you’ll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to – survival, development, protection and participation. CRY has a holistic approach to development based on the child rights framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. CRY also places strong emphasis on networking with other NGOs and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for children.

The role and responsibilities of this position:
The State Program Manager is responsible for the overall implementation of the project at the state level and ensuring coordination with and between district coordinators.

  • Coordinating with UNICEF State Office to report progress and receive feedback
  • Regularly following up with District Resource Person to ensure alignment of district-level implementation with the state’s Strategic Action Plan
  • Supervising the programme through regular field visits in districts and submitting progress reports
  • Facilitating knowledge management efforts of the district by managing the knowledge repository, coordinating with district program officers in organizing knowledge banks and documenting the processes and success stories
  • Assuring quality of work
  • Taking up Any other work assigned by CRY’s Regional Office to fulfil the required deliverables

Team Management: Functions through Team

The State Program Manager shall play a key role in ensuring the deliverables agreed upon with UNICEF are met with. He/ She shall also be responsible for supervising the District Resource Persons and ensuring quality project implementation at the district level. The work shall entail the following:

  • Providing technical support to District Resource Persons towards the implementation of the project in Rajasthan/ West Bengal/ Gujarat
  • Facilitating the preparation of district-specific Strategic Action Plan for preventing child marriages in coordination with the district administration, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and the Women Development Corporation (WDC) / Department of Social Welfare etc
  • Coordinating with State / District stakeholders and UNICEF to ensure effective administration of the programme
  • Establishing a District task force and/or strengthen an existing one
  • Developing guidelines and protocols for the task force
  • Mapping the stakeholders, key influencers and CSOs with the District task force
  • Participating in Review and Reflection Meetings of district-level work at the state level hosted by CRY and UNICEF
  • Ensuring regular visits to monitor progress in each district
  • Coordinating with UNICEF state office, CRY Regional office and all other project staff, to align project work plan and deliverables
  • Facilitating monthly, quarterly and bi-annual review meetings with stakeholders, including WDC
  • Guiding and assisting the dedicated workforce across all 11 districts to work as a composite group to accomplish the deliverables
  • Monitoring of expenditure as per budget and meeting the standard audit requirements
  • Managing performance of the district program Officers to ensure that the capacity building needs of the district team members are identified and addressed

You:
Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Social Science, Rural Development, Humanities, Development Communication
  • An LLB/LLM in Child/Human Rights would be an added advantage

Work Experience:

  • At least 8 to 9 years’ of experience as a Senior or mid-level professional in the arena of child protection and Child Development
  • Experience in adolescent program would be an added advantage
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, specifically government and civil society
  • Experience in Team Management

Skill Sets:
An ideal State Program Manager must have strong written and oral communication skills with an eye for detail.   • Conduct regular meetings with the State M&E Manager to ensure smooth functioning of the child tracking and MIS at district, block and panchayat levels and facilitate District Task Force Meetings
  • Provide technical inputs, direction and capacity building support in the specified district
  • Provide direction, inputs, recommendations for the strengthening of enforcement of all Acts & Policies/ Programme to related to adolescent empowerment district administration
  • Take up any other work assigned by the state Program Manager and ActionAid Regional Office to fulfil the required deliverables

Qualifications:
Master’s degree or a PG Diploma from a recognised University with a specialisation in Social Work / Social Science / Humanities / Development Communication, LLB / LLM

Work Experience:

  • 5-8 years experience in the field of urban or rural development, of advocacy and networking with the block, district and state administration in the arena of Human Rights/ Child Rights.
  • Working Knowledge on the thematic area of Protection and having experience of working with and for the rights of adolescents will be an added advantage.
  • Prior knowledge of, and working relations with the district administration

Skill Sets:
A strong command over the English and Bengali Language, both written and oral, and working relations with communities within the specified district is required. Competency in computer software such as MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel is preferred. A clear understanding of child rights issues, especially adolescent issues, schemes, legislation and policies and government implementation structures of the same is also required.

Project: Strengthen Institutional mechanism and systems to prevent Child Marriage, Child Trafficking and Unsafe Migration in West Bengal supported by UNICEF

Background of the Project:
CRY is partnering with UNICEF for the program implementation and subsequent scale-up of Adolescent Empowerment and Ending Child Marriage across the states of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, Gujarat, Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.

Your Challenge:
At CRY – Child Rights and You, you’ll be using your professional skills and experience to help restore to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to – survival, development, protection and participation. CRY has a holistic approach to development based on the child rights framework with community empowerment as a key ingredient. CRY also places strong emphasis on networking with other NGOs and advocacy efforts to influence macro policies for children.

The role and responsibilities of this position:
The State Program Manager is responsible for the overall implementation of the project at the state level and ensuring coordination with and between district coordinators as well as the State M&E Manager.

  • Coordinating with UNICEF State Office to report progress and receive feedback

  • Ensuring progress reports from the state M&E Manager is aligned to the result matrix
  • Supervising the programme through regular field visits in districts and submitting progress reports
  • Facilitating knowledge management efforts of the district by managing the knowledge repository, coordinating with district program officers in organizing knowledge banks and documenting the processes and success stories

Team Management: Functions through Team

The State Program Manager shall play a key role in ensuring the deliverables agreed upon with UNICEF are met with. He/ She shall also be responsible for supervising the District Resource Persons and ensuring quality project implementation at the district level. The work shall entail the following:

  • Providing technical support to District Resource Persons towards the implementation of the project in Rajasthan/ West Bengal/ Gujarat
  • Facilitating the preparation of district-specific Strategic Action Plan for preventing child marriages in coordination with the district administration, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and the Women Development Corporation (WDC) / Department of Social Welfare etc
  • Coordinating with State / District stakeholders and UNICEF to ensure effective administration of the programme
  • Establishing a District task force and/or strengthen an existing one
  • Developing guidelines and protocols for the task force
  • Mapping the stakeholders, key influencers and CSOs with the District task force
  • Participating in Review and Reflection Meetings of district-level work at the state level hosted by CRY and UNICEF
  • Undertaking a needs’ assessment and vulnerability mapping of children and adolescents at the district level to identify issues
  • Ensuring regular visits to monitor progress in each district
  • Coordinating with UNICEF state office, CRY Regional office and all other project staff, to align project work plan and deliverables
  • Facilitating monthly, quarterly and bi-annual review meetings with stakeholders, including WDC
  • Guiding and assisting the dedicated workforce across all 13 districts to work as a composite group to accomplish the deliverables
  • Monitoring of expenditure as per budget and meeting the standard audit requirements
  • Managing performance of the district program Officers to ensure that the capacity building needs of the district team members are identified and addressed

You:
Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Social Science, Rural Development, Humanities, Development Communication
  • An LLB/LLM in Child/Human Rights would be an added advantage

Work Experience:

  • At least 8 to 9 years’ of experience as a Senior or mid-level professional in the arena of child protection and Child Development
  • Experience in adolescent program would be an added advantage
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, specifically government and civil society
  • Experience in Team Management

Skill Sets:
An ideal State Program Manager must have strong written and oral communication skills with an eye for detail. He/She must have strong negotiation skills and possess a sound understanding of results-based management approach to programme planning, budgeting, review and monitoring systems is essential. The person should be able to think on his/her feet and must have high-quality presentation making skills.
