Child labour is illegal in India – yet, it continues to be a critical issue with over 33 million children, between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age, working as child labourers. We’ve all seen child labour in some form or the other in our day to day lives – be it at tea stalls, factories, or even as domestic help. Not only are these children deprived of the opportunity of going to school, but they are also vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.
At CRY we work tirelessly to ensure that such children continue their education instead of working so that they have a chance at a better future. We do this by focusing on:
Last year alone, through our tireless efforts, thousands of children were rescued from the issue of child labour and enrolled in school – enabling them to chase their dreams instead. But there are many who still need our help.
Every child has the potential to shine, if given the right opportunity at the right time. Imagine what the future could look like if every child got a chance to go to school instead of work. Donate to CRY, India’s most trusted NGO, to help child labourers learn not earn. Your small contribution will make a big difference to their lives!
