The organisation was formed on 2nd October 1996 by a group of likeminded persons, from the rehabilitation and social work background, with an objective of working with children and adults with disability. Their vision was of creating inclusive communities, where every citizen irrespective of their abilities can live with dignity and get opportunity to realize their inherent potential. SADHANA since then has been working on education and malnutrition in the operational area which is spread across 20 villages in 3 Gram Panchayats of Baripada block in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. They will be focusing on overall access to health services and also develop an understanding on the mental health that has a direct correlation with the physical health development as well as age appropriate development of a child.
